Jack Kirby's vibrant artwork graced many Marvel Comics covers -- here are just a few!

During his time at Marvel, Jack "the King" Kirby made his name as an artist and writer who originated many of Marvel's most famous characters. But his signature style also made the cover of many a Marvel Comic! Have a look at some of the covers that previewed the super-powered stories in the pages inside!

It should come as no surprise that some of these Kirby covers have become not just classic but iconic, like his cover for CAPTAIN AMERICA COMICS #1 from back in 1941. Kirby also created the covers for Marvel's biggest super teams, the Avengers and the X-Men, when their series premiered on the same day in 1963.

And no celebration of Jack Kirby's covers can exclude Marvel's First Family -- the Fantastic Four! Kirby did several covers and interior artwork for several issues of FANTASTIC FOUR after it debuted in 1961.
