Wolverine and David Colton’s Captain America Clash in ‘Weapons of Armageddon’ #2 Preview

In WOLVERINE: WEAPONS OF ARMAGEDDON #1 by Chip Zdarsky and Luca Maresca, Logan and Teri, a shadowy associate from the X-Man’s past, are on the trail of a missing mutant. Their search leads them to Primewarrior, a corporation invested in creating the next generation of super-soldiers, no matter the cost. Their latest victim? A young mutant named Tyler with regenerative abilities not dissimilar to Wolverine’s. But as our heroes track the missing mutant subject through the icy wilderness, Tyler’s scent goes cold at a seemingly vacant cabin in the woods. That is, until David Colton sneaks up on Wolverine and Teri, gun cocked.

Introduced in the pages of Chip Zdarsky’s Captain America (2025), David Colton became the U.S. government’s Captain America in a post-9/11 global landscape. Traumatized by war, Colton opted for a more reclusive life until Wolverine showed up at his doorstep, claws out. Now, in WOLVERINE: WEAPONS OF ARMAGEDDON #2, Wolverine and Dave Colton clash as the search for Tyler continues. But will the super-soldier and living weapon choose to be friends or foes when Nuke puts them in his crosshairs? The board has been set as the pieces for ARMAGEDDON start to fall into place.
