NYCC 2025: The X-Men Enter the 'Shadows of Tomorrow'

The Marvel Comics: X-Men Panel at New York Comic Con just concluded, revealing all that awaits mutantkind this January and beyond! Marvel Comics VP Executive Editor Tom Brevoort, Editor in Chief C.B. Cebulski, and a host of X-talent including current X-MEN (2024) creative team, writer Jed MacKay and artist Ryan Stegman, mutant mastermind Benjamin Percy, rising star MAGIK (2025) writer Ashley Allen, and acclaimed writer Eve L. Ewing shed light on SHADOWS OF TOMORROW, the next era of X-Men storytelling, with cover reveals for returning X-Men titles and announcements for all-new series launches.

AGE OF REVELATION, the new status quo that takes the Marvel Universe 10 years into the future, kicked off last week and takes over the X-Men line through December. In its aftermath, the X-Men are now armed with knowledge to prevent one of the darkest futures in Marvel Comics history. It’s time to embrace bold action, strengthen alliances, and empower the next generation! United, the X-Men will alter mutantkind’s fate and ensure their dream isn’t darkened by the SHADOWS OF TOMORROW! Check out an epic promotional image by Stefano Caselli that will be used as covers on a yet-to-be-announced X-title.

Gail Simone and David Marquez’s UNCANNY X-MEN (2024); Saladin Ahmed and Martín Cóccolo’s WOLVERINE (2024); and Jed MacKay’s X-MEN (2024), with two issues drawn by superstar artist Tony Daniel, will continue. Two recent hit solo series, STORM (2024) and MAGIK (2025), experience exciting evolutions in Murewa Ayodele and Federica Mancin’s STORM: EARTH’S MIGHTIEST MUTANT and Ashley Allen and Germán Peralta’s MAGIK & COLOSSUS. Exciting all-new launches include CYCLOPS, ROGUE, GENERATION X-23, INGLORIOUS X-FORCE, and WADE WILSON: DEADPOOL. A new X-project from EXCEPTIONAL X-MEN (2024) writer Eve L. Ewing launching later next year was also teased during the panel.
