The ‘Marvel Multiverse Role-Playing Game’ Developer Update #11 Dives Into Secret Wars Expansion, Midtown Mayhem, and Gen Con 2026

Marvel Multiverse Role-Playing Game: Secret Wars Expansion officially releases this summer on August 18! The Multiverse has been destroyed, and what remains has been forged into Battleworld, a patchwork planet ruled by God Emperor Doom. Whether you’re a player looking for new character ideas and high-powered stories or a Narrator ready to throw your table into a war for reality itself, Secret Wars Expansion is packed with new material to explore.

Battleworld, Rank X, and New Additions

At the center of the expansion is Battleworld, Doom’s shattered empire. The book dives into its many domains, detailing the rulers who control them, the threats heroes will face there, and the opportunities for rebellion, resistance and all-out revolution. For Narrators, this makes Battleworld a powerful sandbox full of ready-made conflicts and adventure hooks. For players, it offers a chance to step into stories that span radically different corners of Marvel reality. 

Secret Wars Expansion also expands the game with new options built for cosmic-level stories. That includes brand-new guidance for Rank X character play and creation. You can find the character sheet for one of the most iconic Rank X characters, Galactus, below with information such as Biography, Traits and Tags, Narrative Attributes and Standard Behavior for how the character normally acts.

Marvel Multiverse Role-Playing Game will be participating in Free RPG Day on June 27, 2026. Stores will be celebrating with a Secret Wars Expansion preview, featuring an Egyptia-themed Battleworld adventure and an original map. It also includes a free PDF download of ready-to-play character sheets and a quickstart guide to get you and your friends straight into the action.
