Biography

When Peter Parker, a married father of two, learns that his destiny to become a hero was prevented, he chooses to retake his life and become Spider-Man!

A Stolen Future

Peter Benjamin Parker grows up with his parents, Richard and Mary, until they die when he’s 15 years old. He then lives with his Aunt May and Uncle Ben Parker. The first year following their deaths is tough for all the Parkers, but Peter’s aunt and uncle love their nephew unconditionally.

Twenty years later, 35-year-old Peter is married to Mary-Jane Watson-Parker and they have two children. He’s also a photo-journalist for the Daily Bugle under his mentor J. Jonah Jameson and his uncle Ben. Despite all the wonderful things Peter has going for him, he has always felt something was wrong with his life and with himself.

Things change in November 2023, when a terrorist attack in Manhattan kills thousands of people, including Peter’s aunt May, and teenager Tony Stark, AKA Iron Lad, is framed for it.

In January 2024, the night before a memorial for all those lost, Peter receives a package and a message from Iron Lad and from six months in the future. In the holographic message, he informs Peter that 20 years ago, he was supposed to be bitten by a radioactive spider that would have granted him amazing powers, and he would have become one of Earth’s prominent Super Heroes. But instead, a great evil traveled through time and erased all the heroes of their world, including Peter, and formed a secret council to rule the world from the shadows. Iron Lad details his intention to set things right and restore heroes in the subsequent six months. Within the package, Peter finds the radioactive spider and a picotech stealth suit to protect his identity.

The next day, Peter attends a memorial for all those slain in the terrorist attack alongside his family and uncle Ben. Following the event, Peter returns to the office to see both his Uncle and Jameson quit the Daily Bugle over pressure from the Bugle’s owner, Wilson Fisk, to control the news cycle. Feeling called to action, Peter lets the spider bite him.

Incredible Arachnid Abilities

The radioactive spider bite endows Peter with the proportionate strength, speed, durability, and agility of a spider. As such, he can also stick to and crawl on walls. Peter also possesses a “spider-sense” alert, which allows him to detect danger right before it happens.

Peter first wears a picotech suit that possesses web-shooters, a camouflage ability, and runs on a network built by the presumed dead Howard Stark. It also contains an A.I., which can be turned on and off. The A.I. includes combat analysis, life support, and any kind of higher-function problem-solving. To run, it has to have a base-level consciousness, and at Peter’s request, it copies the brain patterns of its host, Peter. He eventually wears a spandex-Kevlar composite suit designed by Dr. Otto Octavius.

Combative Criminals

An alternate universe Reed Richards, AKA The Maker, creates his ideal Earth by systematically preventing anyone from becoming a Super Hero, including Peter. Ruling his perfected Earth, he forms a secret council of Super Villains in charge of different regions, and together, The Maker’s Council quietly orchestrates the history of the world. It is the Maker’s Council that perpetrates the terrible attack on New York City in Stark’s name. However, the Maker is locked away in his base, the City, for a two-year period, allowing time for heroes to rise again.

Peter goes up against several Super Villains, such as The Shocker and a Bullseye assassin employed by Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin of New York and a subordinate of the Maker’s Council. Peter even goes head-to-head with the brutal Fisk and his deputized heads of NYC’s territories, the Sinister Six, such as Walter Hardy, AKA Black Cat, Sergei Kravinoff, AKA Kraven the Hunter, and Martin Li, Mister Negative.

A Web of Family and Friends

Peter’s family includes his uncle Ben and his aunt May, who raised him following his parents’ deaths. When he grows up, he marries Mary Jane, AKA MJ, and they have two children, Richard II and May. At first, he keeps his secret identity to himself but as consequences arise, he can no longer hide it and they eventually find out.

Peter works as a photographer for the Daily Bugle under the paper’s editors, his uncle Ben and J. Jonah Jameson, the latter of whom becomes his mentor at the newspaper.

The young Tony Stark sends Peter the radioactive spider that was supposed to bite him 20 years ago, along with a picotech suit and warnings of The Maker’s Council. Peter allows the spider to bite him, which grants him incredible powers that he uses to protect the city and aid the masked vigilante and co-CEO of Oscorp Harry Osborn, AKA the Green Goblin, in catching criminals and saving the world from the ones controlling it. When Peter has doubts about his new path, Harry helps convince him to keep being a Super Hero. Harry also introduces Peter to scientific genius Dr. Otto Octavius, an Oscorp Industries’ scientist handpicked by his late father, and Otto helps Peter understand the ins and outs of his technologically-advanced suit. Though he doesn’t trust him.

That Super Hero Life

After being willfully bitten by the radioactive spider and gaining amazing powers, Peter donned the all-black picotech suit and started to swing around the city to stop crime. He came upon a masked man attempting to break into a building on a rooftop and the man called himself Shocker just as he electroshocked Peter off the building and into a dumpster. Returning home in the middle of the night, his daughter May caught him in the suit and started to cry, but Peter rushed over to her and revealed himself. He asked her to keep his activities as Spider-Man a secret from the family for now. She agreed. The next night, Peter tracked down the Shocker, with the intention of stopping him, but he tricked him and escaped.

Peter’s daughter, May, helped him redesign his suit, so that it wasn’t so scary and suggested a red and blue combination with Peter’s web-like accents, which helped Peter land on an iconic design. He also started helping his Uncle Ben and Jameson with their new venture, an investigative paper, by looking into the Green Goblin, a vigilante waging a personal war on the Fisk organization. Donning his updated suit, Peter waited amidst the city’s rooftops and sure enough, the Green Goblin showed up, attacking a Bullseye assassin. Peter intervened and helped the Goblin catch the culprit. The Green Goblin used his hovercraft glider to take the villain away and then took control of Peter’s picotech suit, exposing his identity, but also revealed himself as Harry Osborn, the billionaire heir of Oscorp Industries. Harry invited him to have a drink to talk about how strange the world was these days.

They met up for drinks and Harry informed Peter that he lived a second life as a vigilante but came upon it the hard way–inheriting his father’s company after both his parents died in the terrorist attack on New York City, and receiving Stark’s company, Stane/Stark Industries, from the most evil people in the world, who actually coordinated the attack. With this new information and what he received from Stark, Peter believed him.

Peter and MJ soon met up with Harry and his wife, Gwen Stacy, co-CEO of Oscorp, for dinner. When the ladies used the restroom, Harry accused Peter of not telling his wife about his alter ego. Peter admitted that he wanted to keep his family safe, though his kid did catch him in his costume. When Peter expressed doubts of continuing as a Super Hero, Harry acknowledged that being a hero was up to him, but reminded him what’s at stake, and that with great power comes great responsibility.

Meanwhile, Harry had interrogated the Bullseye assassin and afterward had Peter join him to confront the man behind the man: Fisk. Together and in costume, they broke into the Fisk Building to get answers from him. But Fisk fought them and with an exoskeleton grafted onto his skin, he proved to be a strong opponent and pummeled Peter. Peter couldn’t hide his injuries from his family and May let it slip that he was a Super Hero. MJ was proud and being a professional in the PR and marketing industry, she gave him his codename: Spider-Man.

In July, Harry introduced Peter to Dr. Otto Octaivus, scientific genius and employee of Oscorp. Otto helped both Peter and Harry understand their technologically-advanced suits. Both suits had A.I. capability and they could select the A.I.’s baseline “personality.” Peter liked to talk to himself, so the A.I. copied his brainscan for its baseline, and Harry chose his father for his armor’s A.I. With the A.I. turned on, the pair tested out their updated suits on each other. But they were interrupted by the arrival of Tony Stark. It had been six months since Stark had sent the life-changing message and package to Peter, and so he asked if Peter had become a hero yet. He also informed Peter and Harry about a database of heroes deemed mission critical to erase from history, and Peter was at the top of the list where Harry wasn’t on it at all. Stark also had control over their suits, which put Harry on edge.

While Peter’s suit was stored away, the suit’s A.I. started talking to him, which was unusual and it startled him, but he couldn’t deal with it because he had to pick up a cake for his kids’ combined birthday party. His uncle Ben and Jameson joined him at the bakery, offered him a photography job at The Paper, which was backed by Gwen Stacy, and though initially hesitant, he eventually accepted.

Since Stark had full access to their suits, Harry had Otto upgrade his armor with a firmware update, but struggled with Peter’s more advanced suit, which was the last suit created by Stark’s father, Howard. Otto made an entirely new suit for him with many bells and whistles, but Peter was overwhelmed by it. Otto instead gave him a spandex-Kevlar suit as an alternative. In their new duds and on a rooftop, Peter and Harry were ambushed by the Black Cat, who caused Harry’s armor to malfunction, freezing him in place. The Black Cat alluded to how the pair was being hunted by Fisk’s deputized heads of New York, the Sinister Six, which he was part of. In a scuffle that followed, Peter webbed him up, though right before Black Cat’s attempted escape, Harry regained access to his suit and blasted him off the rooftop. Black Cat hit the ground, surviving albeit injured, and Peter told Harry to call an ambulance. An ethical dispute over how to be heroes followed, with Peter arguing they were better than the villains, while Harry recounted their familial losses and assured him that he’d protect Peter at any cost should he be in harm’s way.

As Peter and Harry continued to be hunted by the Sinister Six, Ben and Jameson’s investigative reporting at The Paper led them to discover Harry’s alter ego as the Green Goblin. Meanwhile, Peter attempted to stop a bank robbery by himself and had to fight off Mr. Negative’s goons. Afterward, Peter and Ben visited Memorial Park to lay flowers, marking the one-year anniversary of the attack. Ben revealed that he knew the truth about Peter and encouraged him to work harder at keeping his alter ego a secret. Peter left to meet up with Harry with Ben’s words of warning on his mind.

Just before Christmas, Peter and Harry were abducted by Kraven the Hunter, on orders from Wilson Fisk, and Peter was replaced by the A.I. in his picotech suit. Peter had previously created rules for the A.I. to follow should something ever happen to him, and that included protecting his family. For two months, they were both drugged, tortured, and hunted by Kraven in Mole Man’s Savage Land. Meanwhile, Peter’s son, Richard, donned the A.I. suit to replace the missing Spider-Man. As Peter and Harry made a run for the edge of the Savage Land, hoping to escape, they received unexpected help from Mole Man, who showed them an exit through some tunnels. But Kraven was waiting at the end, which led to a fist fight between Peter and Kraven. When Kraven pulled a gun, he shot right through Peter’s side and straight into Harry’s skull. Mysterio appeared, another member of the Sinister Six, and helped Peter escape as he had taken a strange interest in Kraven. Peter made it home and told MJ that Harry was dead and with their identities compromised, that they had to run.

On the lam with the fam at an RV park in Utah, Peter felt he should be helping people. He got the chance when he heard people were disappearing at a nearby abandoned military base. He allows his son Richard and the A.I. suit to join him, and despite wanting to protect his son, he realized that he would eventually be on his own. He had a quick chat with the A.I. about taking over should Richard be in a dangerous situation and choosing Richard over Peter if it came down to it. Since the A.I. was modeled after Peter, it responded that it would save everyone. When they arrived at the military base, Peter’s spider-sense went off and a giant sand person attacked them. Peter dolled out lessons to his son as they fought the creature but Peter was soon used as a hammer, and hit on the head a few times. The A.I. suit realized the tower on the base’s grounds was the only thing keeping the creature at bay, so Richard and the suit turned it off, restoring the creature to human form. He claimed that he was too curious and was experimented upon by the military base, changing him into a sandman
