Cerebra

History

History

Created by the X-Man Beast (Hank McCoy) as a more powerful version of Professor Charles Xavier's Cerebro, Cerebra was originally an egg-shaped amplification chamber that housed a control chair and interface helmet, Cerebra was designed to boost the user’s telepathic activity to a global range, representing mutant signatures as points of light on a virtual world map, with the height of each point indicating the relative power level of an individual mutant. Smaller versions of Cerebra were installed around the world in the offices of Xavier’s X-Corporation. After the Institute’s destruction by a mutant impersonating Magneto, Cerebra was redesigned using Cerebro’s spherical chamber model. In this new configuration, Cerebra can not only locate and catalogue mutants, but can also holographically recreate an individual mutant’s recent memories.
