The Eternal Storm and Doctor Doom Rattle the Skies in ‘Storm’ #5 Sneak Peek

From intimate dinner table conversations to spectacular battlefield showdowns, Storm and Doctor Doom have a complicated relationship to say the least. In STORM (2024) #4 by Murewa Ayodele and Lucas Werneck, the new Sorcerer Supreme invited Earth’s Mightiest Mutant to dinner at his castle in Latveria. On the menu for the night’s festivities? Gumbo and an offer to make Storm Latveria’s mutant ambassador. 

However, Ororo recognized this for the power play that it was. Doom had no interest in mutantkind itself and merely saw an opportunity to make some powerful allies as he finalized his plans for global conquest in ONE WORLD UNDER DOOM. With dessert distant in the rearview, the two titans will clash in STORM (2025) #5 by Ayodele and Werneck.

The preview for STORM #5 opens with the Eternal Storm confronts Eégún, the ancient spirit that cured Ororo’s radiation poisoning at a high cost. With her cosmic abilities, Storm defeats the powerful entity before turning her attention to her host: Victor Von Doom. The Sorcerer Supreme and the Eternal Storm then rattle the skies in a song of fire, ice, lightning, and magic.
