Two Iron Men. One unknown future.

As announced yesterday, the complete IRON MAN 2020 event has dropped early on Marvel Unlimited, a bonus release that will set you up nicely for Tony Stark’s back-to-basics series hitting stores this week. But before picking up IRON MAN #1 in print or digital this Wednesday, read the event here that sets the current stage for the Armored Avenger.

Here’s the setup for IRON MAN 2020: Tony Stark, now revealed as an A.I. backup copy of the real deal, (TONY STARK: IRON MAN (2018) #15), has aligned with Machine Man, Jocasta, and even an android Wolverine, to lead robots into a new dawn. Arno Stark, Tony’s morally bankrupt brother, has asserted his place as the one true Iron Man, seizing control of Tony’s company, Stark Unlimited, with tech magnate and longtime partner Sunset Bain.

Tony Stark. War Machine. Pepper Potts. Machine Man. Ironheart. There are several key players in this cyber sci-fi, all with their own tie-in series and stories.

IRON MAN 2020

The main story.

This six-issue limited series directly deals with Arno and Sunset’s Machiavellian machinations. Dan Slott, Christos Gage, and Peter M. Woods deliver a dystopic saga that challenges “Mark I” robot-Tony’s future amongst human and A.I.
