'Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon' #1 Preview Teases a New Super-Soldier Program

The road to ARMAGEDDON begins here!

This February, superstar writer Chip Zdarsky and dynamic artist Luca Maresca set the stage for a game-changing saga in WOLVERINE: WEAPONS OF ARMAGEDDON. Poised to be a defining chapter in Wolverine’s story, the upcoming series leads directly into ARMAGEDDON, the Marvel Comics event that will change the face of the Avengers in ways unseen since AVENGERS: DISASSEMBLED.

In WOLVERINE: WEAPONS OF ARMAGEDDON #1, the race for the next generation of super-soldiers is on! The series kicks off when an acquaintance from Logan’s past approaches him to help her find abducted mutants, forcing the X-Man to face his trauma with the Weapon X program. As his mission unfolds, Wolverine rapidly finds himself at the epicenter of a story that will rattle the Marvel Universe to its core.  

The preview for WOLVERINE: WEAPONS OF ARMAGEDDON #1 opens with a mysterious figure running with wolves in the winter wilderness. Elsewhere, Logan and his ally find a secret facility belonging to Primewarrior, the latest corporation attempting to create super-soldiers. After stealing hazmat suits to sneak into a labyrinth of tunnels and labs, they uncover the twisted experiments being conducted within these classified walls. Echoing his past, these cruel tests remind Logan of the Weapon X program that turned him into a killing machine. Enraged, Wolverine suits up and slashes his way into action!
