'Marvel Rivals' Launches Season 0 'Doom's Rise' with 33 Heroes, All Unlocked and Free to Play

Today, Marvel Games and NetEase Games have officially launched Season 0 of Marvel Rivals, the new Super Hero Team-Based PVP Shooter that lets players assemble an ever-evolving all-star squad of Super Heroes and Super Villains. Battle with unique powers across a dynamic lineup of destructible maps from across the Marvel Multiverse!

The game is now available on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series XIS, Epic Games Store and the official website. Players can now jump right into Season 0 of this highly anticipated game, now live across the world with all heroes unlocked and free to play at launch and beyond. This month-long kick-off season of Marvel Rivals starts with a total of 33 heroes, 8 maps for Quick Match and Competitive modes, a Conquest map, and a brand-new Practice Range.

"Dooms' Rise" is the opening season and serves as the opening chapter for the chaos caused by each of Doctor Doom’s time experiments colliding and unleashing the Timestream Entanglement.

In celebration of global launch, Marvel Rivals is also thrilled to announce the upcoming Twitch Drops event for Season 0. Throughout the season, players will receive exciting drop rewards by watching their favorite streamers. As they engage with the community, they will earn exclusive in-game rewards simply by tuning in.

Players can also participate in the 'Entangled Moments' seasonal event to unlock spray rewards, gallery card rewards, and stories upon completing tasks. Additionally, a global launch gift will be coming for players to redeem a special code for a FREE Iron Man costume!

Marvel Rivals: Galactic Tunes Official Video Game Soundtrack will be available on Apple Music, Spotify and YouTube Music platforms on December 6th. The official OST features 19 tracks, from the game’s main theme to tracks geared towards certain maps. And it also includes different versions of "Rivals 'Til the End", one performed by Adriana Figueroa and the other by Chrissy Costanza, as well as the Luna Snow theme song "Fate of Both Worlds" performed by Le'mon. The physical vinyl of Galactic Tunes is now available for pre-order on Mutant!

Marvel Rivals is powered by Unreal Engine 5, featuring advanced Lumen Global Illumination and Chaos Destruction system, alongside support for NVIDIA DLSS and Reflex, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS upscaling technologies.

In Marvel Rivals, players can look forward to choosing heroes split into three distinct roles based on their unique power inclinations: Vanguard, Duelist and Strategist. They’ll be free to pick their preferred role and hero, teaming up with allies to create a versatile and dynamic lineup for battle. But that’s not all, as they’ll be able to reach a whole new level of team play collaboration with Team-Up Abilities, unleashing joint superpowers with their allies, tearing down the battlefield to win in exciting fights! Marvel Rivals is in development by a NetEase team composed of global talent that share a profound love for the Marvel Universe and characters who previously worked on hit shooter franchises played by millions of players worldwide.
