Hack was one of the few mutants to survive the Sentinels' attack of the island nation of Genosha. He along with his friends Hub and Purge were allies of Chimére. Hub had infiltrated the hideout of Unus' gang seeking information that would help Chimére defeat Unus. Hack was among the mutants that lost their mutant abilities due to the Scarlet Witch's reality altering catastrophe known as House of M|M-Day. Quicksilver's use of the Terrigen Mists amplified and returned his powers.
