'Storm' #10 Preview: The Thunder War Begins

In STORM (2024), writer Murewa Ayodele and artist Lucas Werneck have consistently put Ororo Munroe face-to-face with some of the most formidable foes in the Marvel Universe. This July, STORM (2024) #10 kicks off a three-part arc that promises to be Storm's greatest challenge in her 50 year history: THUNDER WAR!
THUNDER WAR will pit Earth's Mightiest Mutant, youngest of storm gods, against the eldest and most powerful of them, Hadad. It's a war worthy of the cosmic pantheon and Storm must do whatever it takes to stop the first thunder god. As Hadad sets his sights on the entire cosmos, will Ororo Munroe rise to the occasion? Or will the Avenger and X-Man face crushing defeat?
The preview for STORM #10 opens with Ororo Munroe donning her vibranium armor and conjuring a storm. She rematches Shango, one of the thunder gods she faced in STORM #7, and forces him to yield. Accompanied by Maggott and Manifold, Storm moves on to her next challenger.

In an interview with CBR, Ayodele said, "THUNDER WAR firmly roots Ororo Munroe in all the strengths and flaws that made her the character she is today and pits her against the entire pantheon of thunder gods in the Marvel Universe to see which Storm will rise from the ashes — a benevolent goddess, a tyrannical godslayer, or one slain beneath the fury of immortals."
